The Waste Management Landfill Site on the Burin Peninsula will remain closed for the entirety of tomorrow.
The Regional Service Board says that a fire at the landfill earlier today was the cause of the shutdown.

The Regional Service Board says that due to unforeseen circumstances the site is closed until further notice.
Today’s waste collection in the region will not be affected.
The Regional Service Board were unable to disclose the cause of the shutdown at this time.
