The day has finally come—all eligible Newfoundlanders and Labradorians can register for their first COVID-19 vaccine appointment.
Anyone 12 years of age and older can call or go online to set up their appointment time.
It was only Friday that all adults 30 years and older could register. Health officials say increased shipments of vaccines to the province are what allowed them to move quickly through the priority groups.
As of Friday, 222,340 people had been vaccinated with at least one dose—that’s 45.99 per cent of the eligible population.
