The dates for this year’s recreational groundfish fishery have been set, with the same guidelines as last year.

The fishery will open for a total of 39 days this year – every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from July 3 to September 6. Then, the fall season opens from September 25 to October 3.

There are no licence or tag requirements for the 2021 season, which is open to both residents and non-residents alike.

Recreational fishers are limited to five fish per day, while each boat is capped at a maximum of 15 fish, no matter the number of fishers on board.

As per usual, high-grading is not allowed.
