The East Coast Trail Association and the Canadian Mental Health Association of Newfoundland and Labrador are once again partnering to promote physical and mental health through the annual fundraiser “Trail Raiser on the Go.”
The two groups hope to raise $100,000 over the next couple of months for programs and services.
Those participating are encouraged to complete session challenges by choosing their path rating and hiking path along the East Coast Trail, or by walking, running and using a wheelchair in any community across the province.
“Trail Raiser on the Go” can be completed individually or in teams.
Canadian Mental Health Association CEO Paul Fifield says as the pandemic continues, they hope to strengthen the link between intentional movement, mental health and spending time outdoors in green spaces.
