The city is cracking down on vehicles parked for hours on end in timed-parking zones.
Signs indicating a two or four hour parking limit are an attempt to keep traffic moving for businesses, but some drivers are abusing the privilege and staying all day.
The new regulations, which were made official last week, will require the parked vehicle to leave the area entirely once their limit is expired, and not return for the same amount of time as that limit.
For example, a car parked in an area with a time limit of two hours, must leave leave the area completely for two hours before parking again.
Motorists face a $50 fine for breaking the rules in timed parking areas. You can find more information on the City’s website.
