There are six new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the province today and eight presumptive positive cases. One person is in hospital.
One confirmed positive case is in the Eastern Health region and is related to travel.
Two positive cases are in Central Newfoundland, with one related to the cluster and one a contact of a previous case not related to the cluster and three confirmed cases associated with the cluster in Western Newfoundland.
That brings to 64 the number of positive cases associated with the cluster in Central, as well as one presumptive positive case—and 14 confirmed positive cases associated with the cluster in Western Health, along with four presumptive positive cases.
The source of infection in both areas remains under investigation.
There are another three presumptive positive cases in the province which are not directly associated with the two known clusters.
There are 90 active cases of the virus in the province: 15 in Eastern Health, 50 in Central Health, and 25 in Western Health.
