A national search is on for the next Chief of the RNC.
The constabulary confirmed in early May that current Chief Joe Boland would be retiring at the end of July after four years in the job.
The search for his replacement is being carried out by the Public Service Commission.
The preferred candidate must also be vetted by the Independent Appointments Commission before going to cabinet.
Meanwhile, the Justice Department says there are no issues with staffing, training or recruitment as a result of COVID.
Officials also say a class of 14 recruits who recently finished training are now on patrol with RNC officers.
