A man who was moving around with a loaded gun and who was under the influence of alcohol this morning on the west coast is now in custody.
RCMP issued a public advisory on 31-year-old Shane Ruth of Hughes Brook who, at the time, had not been seen since shortly before 8:00 this morning driving a light grey/silver 2018 Hyundai Tucson with NL plate JJX 118.
RCMP asked the public not to approach the man and to report any sightings of him or the vehicle to them at 709-637-4433 or contact Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-TIPS (8477.)
An updated release from the RCMP stated that Ruth was now in custody. Police did not provide any information on charges.

Corner Brook and Deer Lake RCMP are currently looking for a 31-year-old man who is believed to be in possession of a loaded firearm.
Shane Ruth of Hughes Brook is also believed to be under the influence of alcohol.
