St. John’s Mayor Danny Breen has officially announced his bid for re-election in the upcoming municipal election this September.

Breen says he is ready to continue leading St. John’s through a post-pandemic recovery and will be releasing his campaign platform over the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, professional curler Greg Smith announced he will be running for Councillor at-Large. Smith was one of the candidates vying for a vacant seat on St. John’s City Council earlier this year.
