The family of osprey living near the power substation on Snow’s Lane has grown by one, and Newfoundland Power’s 24/7 nest cam is capturing all the details.
It’s another active season for Beaumont and Hope, who are now caring for a brand new hatchling. Hope is incubating another two eggs which are hoped will hatch in the coming days.
Newfoundland Power constructed the special nesting spot high above the power structure in hopes of keeping the animals safely away from dangerous equipment.
The live feed has become increasingly popular in recent years, as folks take the opportunity to learn about the nesting habits of the pair of osprey.
