Following one of the more beautiful final days of the summer, an early taste of the crisp fall air is coming tonight.
It was a beautiful Saturday all across the province. Meteorologist, Jody Boyd says temperature records were broken in six areas of the province – Gander, Badger, La Scie, Bonavista, Twillingate and even in Nain – where they haven’t had much of a summer.
The nice weather will continue today and into Monday, but not before a cold spell in some areas of the province tonight.
Boyd says there is a frost warning in effect. He says the frost advisory is for parts of central and western Newfoundland with overnight lows in low lying, inland areas of around plus two with patchy frost.
Boyd says the cool air mass over the island will bring our first taste of fall.
