Philip Pynn has been arrested again.
It’s the third time the 35-year-old career criminal has been taken into custody since his return to the province in December.
In March he was charged with breaching conditions of his statutory release following his 2011 conviction for manslaughter. A warrant was issued for his arrest, he turned himself in, and was released the next day.
A month later another arrest warrant was issued, this time in connection with a theft from Bogarts Jewellers on Aberdeen Avenue. Pynn again turned himself in and again was released on conditions, including a promise to pay $2,000 if he failed to comply. A female friend had also put up $1,000 as a surety to support his release.
Pynn was arrested Saturday night for allegedly breaching those conditions.
He made a brief court appearance yesterday and remains in custody pending another bail hearing.
Pynn is well known to police and the public for criminal activity in the province, having spent most of his adult life in jail.
