It was the Exploits Valley SPCA to the rescue over the weekend when a Grand Falls-Windsor woman got an unexpected surprise from an unusual visitor.
The woman was shocked to discover a toad happily sitting in the basin of her toilet.
Frightened, she grabbed some saran wrap and placed it across the seat to prevent the critter from jumping away.
That’s where the SPCA stepped in. They removed the toad and brought him to a more suitable home at the Corderoy Brook Nature Centre and Trail.
