This morning’s announcement will be aired live on VOCM at 9 a.m. Newfoundland time.
Meanwhile, the NDP is hoping to see a plan in place to address what they call unhealthy conditions at some local schools.
Critic Jim Dinn highlights inadequate access to mechanical ventilation and air purification as a problem area, as they have been identified as key elements to reducing aerosol transmission of COVID-19. He wants to see a plan from the provincial government to resolve such issues.
With reports of Delta variant infection surges in other parts of the world, Dinn says the pandemic is far from over. He contends that the province cannot “roll the dice” on the health and safety of students and staff in the province’s education system.
