Flags at the Conception Bay South Monument of Honour are at half mast today to mark the passing of Gerry Kelly on the weekend.
He was an avid volunteer in the town and is a life member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Hockey Hall of Fame. He was inducted into the Newfoundland and Labrador Hockey Hall of Fame in 2007 as a builder and received the Gold Stick Pin in 1990.
He served over 20 years on the provincial minor council and was instrumental in the development of minor hockey in CBS in the 60s and 70s.
