Sixteen people have been charged and over $150,000 in drugs and cash were seized as the result of an extensive investigation into drug trafficking on the west coast.
RCMP officers from across the island were involved in Project Bullfight, the culmination of several separate police investigations into drug trafficking along the west coast.
Search warrants were conducted in six communities: Lourdes, Three Rock Cove, Stephenville Crossing, Flat Bay, Port aux Basques and Searston.
Over $62,000 of illicit drugs were seized—consisting largely of prescription pills, cocaine and cannabis products—along with $90,000 in cash, seven firearms and ammo.
Seized items include:
- 25g of cocaine

- 414g of cannabis resin or shatter
- 256 edible cannabis candies
- 164g of cannabis oil

Sixteen people between 18 and 59 years old were arrested on charges spanning from drug trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime, to firearm charges and breaches of court orders. RCMP say the arrests came as part of nineteen separate investigations over a five-day period.
