RCMP say a man who was removed from the Labrador coastal ferry—the Kamutik W—on Monday was found safe after he went missing earlier this week.
The man was removed from the ferry by crew for consuming alcohol on board the vessel, which is strictly prohibited.
RCMP helped the man with securing a hotel room in Rigolet, with arrangements made for him to leave the community the next day.
When police arrived in the morning, he could not be found. A search was launched and he was eventually located on Wednesday.
Police are thanking the residents of Rigolet, the Innu Nation, Labrador dog services and Labrador air services for their assistance in the search.
