Nine people were officially invested into the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador during a ceremony at Government House earlier today.
Being invested into the Order is the highest honour the province can bestow.
Premier Andrew Furey says in speaking with the recipients, there were some common threads among them including a sense of purpose, drive, accomplishment, and a sense of place and belonging to Newfoundland and Labrador.
This year’s inductees include John R. Barrett, David Gordon Bradley, Louis Bradley, Fred Budgell, Dr. Alice Collins, Marlene Creates, Dr. Donald Dingwell, Lester Powell and Dr. Ted Rosales.
