An elderly man is dead and another person critically injured in a single-vehicle crash in central Newfoundland this morning.
Springdale RCMP say the vehicle rolled over at Sheffield Brook Bridge on the Trans Canada Highway near the Springdale exit.
An 82-year-old man from the west coast, who was a passenger, died at the scene. The driver suffered critical injuries.
Drivers should note that the investigation is ongoing at the scene, so there may be periodical delays. In any event, police wish for drivers to slow down in that area.
