The RCMP is seeking the public’s help in locating a hit and run suspect, following an accident on Saturday in Carbonear.
Police say the accident occurred in the parking lot of the Subway on Columbus Drive at about 3 p.m.
A grey Toyota pickup is said to have struck a 27-year-old woman, who was walking across the parking lot.
They say the driver, a man, exited the vehicle and when he saw the woman was injured, returned to his truck and fled the scene.
The woman was transported to hospital as a result of her injuries.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident, or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at the time to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
