Former Chief of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Richard Roche passed away on Wednesday, November 10th, at the age of 83.
Roche joined the Constabulary in 1956, being appointed Chief of Police in March of 1980.
He retired from the Constabulary in June of 1984.
He also guided his sons to careers with the RNC, including Sean, Paul, and current interim Chief of Police, Patrick Roche.
Burial will take place today.
