The man who escaped police custody in Gander on the weekend was arrested this morning at a residence in the community.
Thirty-eight year-old Gordon Ivany will be in court later today to answer to theft-related charges from a number of businesses in the Gander area. in addition, he is charged with escape from lawful custody.
Ivany was still handcuffed when he got away from the RCMP and had been last seen in the area of Rickenbacker Road in Gander when police put out the public advisory.
