The wait is over. The Toronto Maple Leafs have come to an agreement with restricted free-agent Mitch Marner.
Marner has re-signed with the team for 6 years with an average annual value of $10.893-million.

Newfoundland and Labrador hockey fans will get the first taste of Marner under his new deal as he is expected to join the rest of the team in the Town of Paradise today.
The Maple Leafs continue training sessions in metro this weekend with an alumni game Sunday and exhibition game verses the Ottawa Senators Tuesday at Mile One.
Marner and Leafs GM Kyle Dubas are expected to address media this afternoon. VOCM news will be there to bring you the news first.
Maple Leafs Enjoying Time in Newfoundland
Meanwhile the Maple Leafs seem to be enjoying their time here in Newfoundland.
Fans have been posting pictures with players spotted around town.
Leafs President Brendan Shanahan tweeted a video last night of local musician Damian Follett singing him Seasons in the Sun at a local establishment. In the tweet Shanahan says “Who doesn’t love Newfoundland?! Many highlights tonight but this one right up there.”
