The RNC and RCMP have made an arrest in connection with a recent drug investigation known as Operation Riptide.
RCMP seized 13.7 kilograms of cocaine, and 4500 blots of acid at St. John’s International Airport on Wednesday, December 2nd.
27-year-old Michael Rumsby of British Columbia has been arrested by members of the RNC Drug Investigation unit.
Rumsby has been charged with trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
He’s been released to appear in provincial court at a later date.
