Work on the climbing lanes on Veterans Memorial Highway continues.

It’s one of the major changes announced last year following a a series of serious and deadly collisions on the busy highway.

Among the concerns raised by the public was speed and the lack of passing lanes on the highway, resulting in drivers taking chances.

MHA for Harbour Grace-Port de Grave, Pam Parsons says work is progressing and should be completed soon with an update coming from the department of Transportation and Works.
