The jolly old elf has embarked on his journey around the globe, scheduled to arrive in Newfoundland and Labrador sometime around midnight tonight.

Children across the province will be able to track his progress through NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command which will be providing updates on Santa’s trip around the world throughout the evening on VOCM.

The Santa Tracker has been in operation since 1955, when they received a call from a child, who wanted to call Santa, accidently misdialed the phone number listed for a local department store and got the Continental Air Defense Command instead.
