It’s going to be a blustery drive home this afternoon in the metro region with fluffy snow falling. That’s going to be blown around according to meteorologist Mike Vandeburgh at the Gander Weather Office.
The low has moved a little further east than first forecast so it will be mainly an eastern Avalon nick with 10 to 15 cm in metro by the time it ends around suppertime with a few more centimetres expected on the Southern Shore but 5 to 10 cm elsewhere on the Avalon including Conception Bay North.
Vandeburgh says the winds will pick up to 60 with gusts to 80 km/h in some areas this afternoon.
