Canadian Blood Services is thanking people in the metro region for what it’s calling a “generous” response from donors over the holidays, but the organization still has quite a ways to go to keep up with demand for the rest of the month.
Last week, the organization put out a call to get about 200 appointments filled by the end of the month.
Gord Skiffington, territory manager for donor relations in this province, says uptake went well over the holidays and now they are focused for the appointments they have left to fill for the rest of January.
He says their Wicklow Street location has over 350 appointments open between now and the end of the month.
