The ferry service on the Labrador Straits is moving back to its winter schedule.
As of tomorrow and for the rest of the winter, the Qajaq W will overnight in Blanc Sablon and complete one daily round-trip crossing between Blanc Sablon and St. Barbe until the first of May.
In the meantime, travel between Labrador and the island portion of the province was up last year thanks in part to relaxed travel restrictions. Passenger traffic was up 61.8 per cent over 2020, vehicle traffic was up by 59.9 per cent and commercial traffic was up by 20.39 per cent.
