A 42-year-old driver was arrested for impaired driving after he sped past a marked police car on the Trans Canada on Wednesday afternoon.
An officer on patrol when a vehicle pulled out and passed him near Brigus Junction.
He was promptly pulled over, and the officer noticed signs of alcohol impairment.
The driver failed a roadside screening device and supplied breath samples at the local detachment that were more than twice the legal limit.
The accused was released to appear in court March 11th on charges of impaired driving.
His vehicle was seized and his licence was suspended.
