The provincial government will be introducing legislation in the spring sitting of the House of Assembly to create safe access zones around educational and health care facilities in the province.

The legislation, if passed, will prohibit the physical interference or intimidation of services providers and users of health and educational facilities.

The legislation will establish a safe access zone of 50 metres around facilities—similar to that in place at abortion clinics.
