The Quebec government is considering implementing a tax on the unvaccinated, however the same is not currently on the table in this province.
Quebec intends to introduce a tax on people who refuse to get vaccinated. Only those with medical exemptions would be exempt.
Premier Andrew Furey says this province isn’t exploring something similar, pointing to use of the NLVaxPass, vaccine mandates, and high vaccination rates.
He says those measures are doing the job they were put in place to do, and a tax on the unvaccinated isn’t something they’re considering.
