A 36-year-old Torbay man has been charged with numerous weapons-related offences after a tense period in Torbay yesterday.

RNC received a call around 6:50 a.m. Sunday about a possible armed man in the area of Gosse’s Lane in Torbay. A short time later, officers determined that the suspect was inside a home on Gosse’s Lane. He was brought into custody around 3:30 p.m. without incident.

The accused is facing charges of assault, breach of a court order, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, discharging a firearm and other firearm-related offences. He was held in custody pending a court appearance.
