Harbour Grace RCMP are seeking the public’s help after the driver of a stolen vehicle fled from them.
Just before midnight Saturday, police pulled over a Grey Mazda 3 on Old Neck Road in Victoria. As the officer was approaching the vehicle, it sped away.
About an hour later on Sunday, police got a report of a stolen vehicle matching the description of the one that sped away. Then at about 1 p.m. Sunday, the vehicle was found abandoned on O’Driscoll’s Lane in Carbonear.
The vehicle was seized and is being examined.
