A firearm reported missing in the Witless Bay area has been recovered and returned to the owner.
Ferryland RCMP were notified nearly two weeks ago after a hunter accidentally left a firearm behind after packing up in the area of Gallows Cove Road in Witless Bay. As soon as he realized that he left it behind he returned to the site, but the firearm was gone.
RCMP say the firearm was turned in to them and it has since been returned to the owner.
