NLVaxPass QR Codes Available for Those with Medical Exemption

NLVaxPass QR codes for people with an approved medical exemption are now available.

People who have received a medical exemption for the COVID-19 vaccine and have a valid MCP are now able to download the exemption to the VaxPass. The QR code can only be used in Newfoundland and Labrador. Those without a valid MCP may continue to use a signed medical exemption letter as proof.

An update for the app will also allow individuals who are fully vaccinated to be able to view their Canadian COVID-19 proof of vaccination QR code that may be used for travel.

NLVaxPass and NLVaxVerify apps will need to be updated on devices.
