A 27-year-old man is facing numerous charges after an incident on Torbay Road early Sunday morning.

At approximately 1:15 a.m. the RNC responded to a call of unknown trouble.

Upon arrival, officers located the man, who was in breach of a court order not to consume alcohol.

The man resisted police during the arrest and was escorted to the lock-up, where he once again became irate, this time assaulting an officer.

He faces charges of resisting arrest, assaulting police, and breach of court orders.

The officer’s injuries were said to be minor.
