The Trans-Canada Highway is now open in both directions at the Avondale Access Road.
Eastbound reopened this morning around daybreak but crews still had work to do in the westbound. All four lanes are now open but transportation officials caution that it is still a construction zone and will be so for the next week or so.
That means to expect delays but nothing of the magnitude experienced on the weekend when detours through the Conception Bay Highway were in place.
All four lanes on the TCH near Avondale are open as of earlier this afternoon. The site remains a construction zone and speed reductions are in place. Please drive carefully. #nltraffic pic.twitter.com/eH24TmjqCf
