Newfoundland and Labrador is going to avoid a spike in fuel prices this week caused by attacks on a Saudi Arabian Oil Field.
George Murphy of the consumer group for fair gas prices predicts the price of heating and stove oils and the price of diesel to increase by about a cent and a half, while the price of gasoline is expected to take a dip of about a cent.
We aren’t out of the woods just yet, however.
Depending on market factors this week, Murphy says fuel prices could go up across the board next week, with increases of over two cents per litre possible.
