5 Wing Goose Bay is warning snowmobile drivers of potential hazards around the perimeter of the facility.

They say snow clearing operations are ongoing along the fences of the facility, which can be hazardous for riders who deviate from the trails and use the fences as a guide.

They say riders could encounter steep and unexpected drops. As well, with the depth of the snow many hazards, man made or otherwise, could be hidden underneath.

They ask snowmobilers to obey all hazard signs in the area, noting that leaving the approved trail while on their property is strictly prohibited.
