The provincial government is pushing forward with its Come Home Year plans, with the approval of 181 municipal projects.
Last November, the province announced $250,000 for the grants. However, due to the high level of interest, the funding was increased to $355,000.
Between $2,000 and $2,500 was available depending on the type of application.
The funds will help communities prepare for Come Home Year events.
