Three people were able to escape from a house in the Cowan Heights area which caught ablaze last night, however one person was treated at the scene by ambulance personnel.
The St. John’s Regional Fire Department responded to the fire when it broke out just after 10:30 p.m. at a house on Avondale Place.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary have have begun an investigation.
