A local author has outpaced some of the province’s most recognized personalities to claim the top bestseller spot.
First-time author Bev Moore Davis has earned the title of the 2021 number one local bestselling author in Newfoundland and Labrador for her memoir, “White Picket Monsters”, outselling Rick Mercer, Emily Hepditch, and Mark Critch.
White Picket Monsters, released last April, recounts the sexual exploitation, violence, and manipulation suffered by Moore Davis as a child for more than 13 years at the hands of her adoptive parents.
Moore Davis is currently working with government to have mandatory child abuse prevention programs adopted by the education system, as a pilot project for a body safety program has begun in 52 classrooms throughout the province.
