The provincial government has announced $1-million in funding to help three airports re-establish routes that were reduced or cancelled during the pandemic.
St. John’s International will receive $500,000, while Deer Lake and Gander will receive $250,000 each.
Premier Andrew Furey says the money will go towards re-establishing routes for this year.
Furey understands that results will start to be seen “soon”, noting that he understands one airline will have an announcement in the coming days.
