COVID-19 restrictions are loosening for all healthcare facilities today.
Long-term care facilities can now accept routine admissions, short stay respites, and transfers.
Hairstylists can now provide in-facility services, and volunteers are welcome.
Group activities are now permitted to take place, and residents of a unit, wing, or floor can eat together without physically distancing.
Residents can also leave the home for essential shopping, banking, medical appointments, outings or family home visits.
Acute care patients can have two support people each, which should remain consistent, but can be changed every 14 days.
Patients can have one person with them at outpatient clinic appointments or emergency department visits.
Palliative care visitation should be discussed with the care team.
