Those in the sporting community are looking forward to the resumption of competitive play starting next week but officials admit, it’s been a hard three seasons for players.
COVID restrictions are loosening as of Monday, allowing teams to return to competitive play, but for the time-being, tournaments that bring players from different regions together are still on the backburner.
Executive Director of SportNL, Troy Croft, says the repeated interruption in competitive play and skills development has been tough.
He says it makes it hard on players and on coaches who are trying to work with players who have missed so much in their development, compounded over time.
