Another death is being reported in the province due to COVID-19, the 57th since the pandemic began.
The death, involving a woman in her 70s, is in the Eastern Health region.
There are 213 new confirmed cases of COVID in Newfoundland and Labrador – 162 in Eastern Health, 17 in Central, 18 in Western and 16 in Labrador-Grenfell Health.
The number of people in hospital because of the virus has dropped to 14, with six in critical care. There are 225 recoveries leaving a total of 1,698 active cases in the province.
