After what’s been a tough couple of years marked by COVID restrictions and extensive damage caused by Hurricane Larry, the Iceberg Alley Performance Tent is making a big return.
The September 11 hurricane, with winds that topped 160 km/h, flattened the big top but Iceberg Alley says a brand new tent will be erected on the banks of Quidi Vidi Lake this summer.
Instead of September, the concert series is shifting to June 15 to June 25.
Producer Shawn Basha says the change in date is to get the concert series out of hurricane season.
While the original tent was completely destroyed, Basha says most of what was inside of it was salvaged, such as the sound equipment, lighting, and sky bar. He says people can expect the same experience this year, “but a bit better, of course.”
The slate of featured performers and ticketing information will be announced in the coming days.
The Iceberg Alley Performance Tent is pleased to announce our return for 2022!
