The auction of a painting by a local artist has raised $25,000 to go towards relief efforts in Ukraine.

Adam Young of Young Studios recently composed an original painting, inspired by the flag of Ukraine and their national flower—the sunflower.

Over the weekend, he posted that he would be auctioning off the piece, with the funds going towards Voices of Children, which is a foundation in Ukraine that helps children affected by war.

Young says he was blown away by the response, with the winning bid coming in at $25,000.
