A man from Appleton in central Newfoundland has been arrested for drug and weapons offences following a two-month-long investigation by police.
The Federal Serious and Organized Crime unit in Gander, search warrant in hand, seized numerous items from a house in Appleton, including:
- about eight ounces of cocaine
- 429 methamphetamine ‘ICE’ pills
- oxycodone pills
- $8,180 in cash
- two brass knuckles
- a switch blade
- one pound of marijuana
- a prohibited .22-calibre handgun
- five long guns, which police say were unsafely stored.
The 37-year-old man was scheduled to appear in Gander Provincial Court this afternoon.
RCMP say several charges are anticipated. The investigation continues.
